A Recoletora é a prática artística e pedagógica que tenho, juntamente com a designer Maria Ruivo, dedicada ao estudo dos lugares de interação entre as comunidades humanas e as vegetais. No nosso trabalho, aliamos uma ação contínua de pesquisa, inventariação e mapeamento das plantas espontâneas comestíveis ao resgate de conhecimentos ancestrais e contemporâneos, numa lógica didática que propõe uma redescoberta da cidade através da recoleção e da deambulação pelos territórios do baldio urbano.

Na Recoletora, exploramos temáticas relacionadas com a autonomia alimentar, a recoleção, o herbalismo, o saber-fazer tradicional, a paisagem, a memória, a etnobotânica e a literacia ecológica, promovendo ações participativas como cartografias, caminhadas guiadas, workshops, refeições partilhadas, conversas, instalações comestíveis, exposições e publicações.

A Recoletora is an artistic and educational practice that I led, together with the designer Maria Ruivo, dedicated to the study of places of interaction between human and plant communities. In our work, we combine continuous research, inventory and mapping of edible wild plants with the recovery of ancestral and contemporary knowledge, in a didactic logic that proposes a rediscovery of the city through collecting and wandering through the territories of the urban wasteland.

At A Recoletora we explore themes related to food autonomy, foraging, herbalism, traditional know-how, landscape, memory, ethnobotany and ecological literacy, promoting participatory actions such as cartographies, guided walks, workshops, shared meals, conversations, edible installations, exhibitions and publications.
